It is always good, to know what is your child body type.
In Ayurveda, we have 3 body types or doshas. Vata, Pitta, and Kapha dosha.
Kids – Vata Dosha
Children who have strong Vata doshas are likely to be imaginative, spontaneous, quick-witted and energetic. They may have difficulty sleeping and might be picky eaters. Vata kids should be allowed to play in the sunshine and in other warm activities, avoid windy arie. Mind Vata kids will benefit from meditation and yoga exercises.
Kids – Pitta Dosha
Pitta children are generally articulate, intellectual, confident, joyous and may show frustration. They do not like to skip meals. Children with this dosha should avoid activities that will fire them up, and should practice yoga, fresh foods like fruits and vegetables.
Kids – Kapha Dosha
Children with Kapha dosha are, steady, focused, calm, forgiving, loving and may be lethargic or little lazy. They likely sleep well and enjoy in good meals .All children have Kapha energy, but having them too much, can cause an imbalance. To help them, Kapha- children should be encouraged to go out, walk, swimming, running, outdoor games with a friends, practice yoga and stretch the body. They should avoid cold, heavy foods like milk and cheese, and eat foods with garlic, ginger or cinnamon.
